Scope
This Privacy Policy describes how INTERFUSION, Inc. (hereinafter called ‘Company’) handles your personal information for our services on the JapanBrandOnline.com websites (hereinafter called 'JBO'). JBO respect User privacy and is committed to protecting User's personal information. This notice describes our privacy policy. By visiting JBO, User shall accept the practices describing this Privacy Policy.
Collection
User can browse JBO without identifying him/herself or revealing any personal information about him/herself. Once User gives JBO the personal information, User is not anonymous to JBO. If User choose to provide JBO with his/her personal information, User consent to the transfer and storage of that information on JBO servers located in Japan.
JBO may collect and store the following personal information:
- E-mail address, physical contact information, and financial information, such as credit card or bank account numbers;
- transactional information based on User activities on the sites (such as buying item, User generated content, or that what relates to User account);
- shipping, billing and other information User provide to purchase or ship an item
- review or other correspondences with JBO
- other information generated from User interaction with JBO, services, content and advertising, including computer and connection information, statistics on page views, traffic to and from the sites, AD data, IP address and standard web log information
- other supplemental information from third parties (for example, if User incurs a debt to JBO, JBO will generally conduct a credit check by obtaining additional information about User from a credit bureau, as permitted by law; or if the information User provides cannot be verified, JBO may ask User to send JBO additional information, such as User driver license, credit card statement, or a recent utility bill or other information confirming User address, or to answer additional questions online to help verify User information).
Primary purpose
JBO's primary purpose in collecting personal information is to provide User with a safe, smooth, efficient, and customized experience. User agree that JBO may use User personal information to:
- provide the services and customer support User request;
- resolve disputes, collect fees, and/or any other troubleshooting problems;
- prevent potentially prohibited or illegal activities, and enforce our Terms of Use;
- customize, measure and improve JBOs' services, content and advertising;
- tell User about targeted marketing, service updates, and promotional offers based on User's communication preferences; and
- compare information for accuracy, and verify it with third parties.
JBO may process the customer survey for improving our customer care and collecting the information for the introduction of new products and sales promotion. JBO shall not disclose to any third party the data that can specifically identify User.
Disclosure to Third Party
JBO may disclose the stored personal information when responding to legal requirements, enforcing our policies, responding to claims that a listing or other content violates the rights of others, or protect anyone's rights, property, or safety. JBO may also share User personal information with:
- Third-Party Service Providers - JBO employs other companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf. Examples of these include fulfilling orders, delivering packages, sending postal mail and e-mail, removing repetitive information from customer lists, analyzing data, providing marketing assistance, providing search results and links (including paid listings and links), processing credit card payments, and providing customer service. They have access to personal information needed to perform their these functions, but may not use it for any other purposes.
- Promotional Offers - Sometimes JBO sends offers to selected groups of Users on behalf of other businesses. When JBO does this, JBO does not give that business User name and address. If User does not want to receive such offers, please adjust the Customer Communication Preference on registration.
- Other third parties - User explicitly asks JBO to send User information (or about whom User is otherwise explicitly notified and consented to when using a specific service).
When JBO entrusts to third party any of the above business, JBO provides only the necessary information. JBO shall bound third party to the same level of our obligation under the law with written agreement and supervise third party to hold the stored personal information in secure manner.
- Law enforcement or other governmental officials, in response to a verified request relating to a criminal investigation or alleged illegal activity. In such events, JBO will disclose information relevant to the investigation, such as name, city, zip code, telephone number, email address, User ID history, IP address, fraud complaints, and listing history.
Without limiting the above, in an effort to respect User privacy and our ability to keep the community free from bad actors, JBO will not otherwise disclose User personal information to law enforcement, other government officials, or other third parties without a subpoena, court order or substantially similar legal procedure, except when we believe in good faith that the disclosure of information is necessary to prevent imminent physical harm or financial loss or to report suspected illegal activity.
Disclosure to User
Under the law enforcement, JBO shall disclose User personal information promptly after User request JBO to disclose the stored personal information. This disclosure includes the case when Company notifies User that such information does not exist.

JBO may not disclose all or parts of personal information in the event of the following;
- if it harms third party's life, body, property or other rights and profits
- if it interferes with JBO’s business operations beyond reasonable care
- if it violates the law enforcement
JBO notifies User promptly after deciding JBO will not disclose all or parts of the personal information User requested under the method stated by JBO. User shall endure the service charge stated by JBO when User requests the disclosure of personal information.
Correction
JBO shall correct, add and delete (herein after called ‘correct’) the stored personal information promptly with the appropriate research limited to the deeds of utilization purposes JBO stated in the Disclosure to Third Party of this Privacy Policy, except when the law enforcement or other government officials regulate the disclosure procedure, when User requests JBO to correct the personal information for the reason that the personal information is not accurate. JBO may accept the request by the customer service section with JBO stated method.
JBO notifies User promptly after deciding JBO will correct (including the content JBO corrected) or will not correct all or parts of the stored personal information User requested under the method stated by JBO.
Suspension
JBO shall stop utilizing or delete (herein after called ‘Suspend’) the stored personal information promptly when User requests JBO to suspend the personal information because his/her personal information has been treated against the purpose of disclosure in Privacy Policy or his/her personal information was obtained by legal or illegal methods and JBO judges this request is reasonable. JBO may accept the request by the customer service section under the method stated by JBO.
In the event this suspension needs a great amount of expense or there is some difficulty in the process, JBO reserves the rights to choose an alternative way to protect User’s rights and privileges.
JBO notifies User promptly after deciding JBO will suspend or will not suspend the utilization all or parts of the personal information User requested under the method stated by JBO.
General
